Illustrative field study

Business systems

We followed one lead through a typical business. It got lost.

A lead needs an owner and a next step, not another place to store a name.

The promised follow-up

An enquiry arrives on Facebook. A teammate replies, the prospect asks for a price, and the chat moves to WhatsApp. During a call, the prospect asks to be contacted next week. No reminder is recorded.

Keep the thread intact

The useful sales path is simple to describe: enquiry, qualification, follow-up, proposal, decision. In practice, messages and notes often sit with different people and tools.

Make responsibility visible

A CRM can hold conversation history, a clear owner, a pipeline stage, and a dated next action. Automations can remind or route work, but only if the team agrees on what each stage means.

Check where leads stall

Review a defined set of enquiries. Count how many have an owner, a next step, and a recorded outcome. The draft scenario has no real sample, baseline, or conversion data, so it makes no performance claim.
